The political fight in black Africa : when tribalism becomes the preferred weapon of politicians to the detriment of the fight to improve the living conditions of their populations.

In black Africa, politicians since independence have used tribalism to prosper. This behavior is explained by the fact that tribalism is a vector of simplistic message and easily assimilated by a population for the extreme majority very uneducated.

This situation has the consequence of creating within the political class not a competition to have a better program for the development of our societies, but a race for the control of resources, positions of income and folding seats for the happiness of his community.

How can we understand that scholars are not fighting for more social protection but for individual well-being ?

What explains why people let themselves be fooled by this gaping tribalism that keeps them in extreme poverty, all tribes included ?

What do political party programs say about:

 

- The minimum salary ?

 

- Family allowances (social protection against the risk of poverty)?

 

- Health insurance (health coverage for the entire population)?

 

- Accidents at work, occupational diseases (social protection against occupational risks and their consequences)?

 

- Pensions (social protection against the effects of old age on elderly populations) ?

 

At a time when the CAWOF (Cameroonian inter-union confederation) denounces a government trick around the discussion on the increase in the minimum wage, I would like journalists to welcome politicians to their sets to talk about what their parties are proposing in terms of social protection of our populations.
