The session of the National Assembly of Cameroon dedicated to questions prior to the adoption of the 2022 budget was tarnished by a serious incident when CPDM baron and PAN Cavayé Yégué Djibril refused to allow the SDF MP Jean Michel Nintcheu to speak in violation of the regulations.
According to several witnesses, Nintcheu did not give in and this resulted in violent verbal exchanges between the two men, to the point where the PAN threatened to call in the Gendarmerie to expel the Wouri-East deputy. At one point Jean-Michel Nitcheu briefly left the room to express his exasperation.

In a press statement issued this morning, the Secretary General of the SDF firmly reminded "militants, elected officials and leaders" of the SDF that "any debate on the life of the party must be conducted internally, within the appropriate bodies, and strictly in accordance with the provisions of our texts" and warned that "any display of internal differences within the party in the media and in the public square will henceforth be considered as a deliberate attempt to destroy the party and demobilize its militants".
